SETTING PERSONAL GOALS

Imagine a world where every dream we have is within our grasp, where every ambition we hold is just a step away. This life of yours isn’t as hard as it seems to bend to your will. It's a world we can create through the power of setting personal goals.

Good evening to all my fellow speakers over here. Today, we are getting to know what goals are and how we can set our own personal goals. Let’s dive in!

Setting personal goals is like planting seeds in a garden. Each goal is a seed that, with care, dedication, discipline, and a strong-willed mind, grows into a beautiful, flourishing plant. But why is it so important to set these goals? Why can't we just drift along and see where life takes us? Which I do all the time.

So, 1. These goals give us direction. Think of life as an ocean, and you are a ship that is flowing throughout that ocean without any guide or compass and naturally, these goals are our compass, which guide us towards our dreams and aspirations. They help us focus our energy and efforts on what truly matters.

Now, think about the last time you worked hard to achieve something big. You achieved it! And, you felt a sense of pride and accomplishment wash over you. It felt good, but why? Because you set a goal that you have to do this, you need to do this, you want to do this. These goals motivate us significantly over time and make us crazy for more appreciation.

Now, let's talk about creativity. This could be an exciting experience for me, even, cuz I am like the guy who likes to `go with the flow ’. Well, creativity it's like having a blank canvas and the freedom to paint whatever you envision. Your goals can be as unique and imaginative as you are. Want to write a novel? Maybe set a goal to write a chapter a month. Dream of starting a Podcast Series? Create a goal to create and upload one video every week.

But setting such goals isn't just about dreaming big. It's about being Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound, or if you wanna remember it easily, here’s an acronym, SMART. Now,o for instance, instead of saying to yourself, "I want to be better at SSC," you could say, "I want to improve my SSC grade from a C to a B by the next exam that comes by spending an extra hour each day." That kinda makes you a little convinced to do it.

Ever heard of the Law of Attraction? Maybe …… or Maybe not. See, the universe always listens to every word that comes out of our mouth and also in our minds. Believe it or not, that thing has a way of fulfilling your wishes and pleas crazily. Say, you have an important exam coming up, and it’s a subject you don’t like and didn’t even prepare for. You keep on thinking you will fail, and definitely you would, if that’s what you are saying to yourself. Now, imagine this situation vice versa. See how much better you score in that subject, with a little dedication, of course.

Remember, the journey to achieving your goals is just as important as the destination. Along the way, you'll learn new skills, discover hidden talents, and grow in ways you never imagined. And don't be afraid of setbacks. Every great and successful story has its own unique challenges, and every hero faces all kinds of obstacles. It's how we tackle them that defines our success.

The point that I am trying to get through is that setting personal goals is a powerful tool that can and will transform every living being’s life, whether rich or poor. It gives us direction, motivation, and a sense of purpose. So, let's take a moment to think about our dreams and aspirations. Because at the end of the day, it's not just about reaching the destination, but about the incredible and perilous journey you have endured to get there.

Do create a personal goal for yourself. It’s useful in life. Remember, SMART: Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound.

Thank you.
